I'm Logan Goodhue and I'm capable of running Pathfinder, D&D 3.5, GURPS 3e and 4e, Mayfair's DC Heroes and Marvel FASERIP. A little preparation and I should also be able to do Shadowrun or In Nomine.
My own schedule tends to let me have Thursdays to myself, so consider this my probe for interest.

Hi, I would definitely love to join a DnD3.5 group. I have played a little here and there for a few years, but have only recently joined a regular group. My girlfriend may also be interested, and I bet I could get a few friends of mine from my other group into it. Just keep in mind I am 17, and those in my group are around my age. We try not to waste time and try to stay focused, though.

Hm. Yes. I See.
Any setting preferences? I've plenty of books for environments, etc. Though I may need to bust out my library crates.
I'm reasonably comfortable with Eberron, Greyhawk, and the 3.0 version of Rokugan/Oriental Adventures.
FWIW, Pathfinder works as D&D 3.75, so that's an option as well.

I have never run in a premade campaign setting, but have read through the basic rulebook for ebberon, and Forgotten Realms has always looked fun to me. That would be my personal preference, but I can't speak for the others in the group. Oh, and it looks like one of the guys is going to Argentina for the summer, so all I have is myself, and potentially my girlfriend Kaitlyn, and my friend Forest.

Well, failing that, I can convert some of the old 1st and second ed modules I've come across.
I'm sure we can work something out. We'd just need... one more for a standard Party size anyway.
I'm allowing the defaults from the PHB and DMG, naturally. Other Classes and Races and various kipple may be a case-by case basis, but I'm pretty lenient, provided either you or I have access to the book.
Creation options include: *the standard 28 point-buy *4d6, drop lowest, arrange to suit *Iron Man: straight 3d6 down the character sheet, and as an incentive, a random magic item: further details during creation session.

I'm not sure if I can make Thurs nights, but I'm definitely interested in gaming :-) I'm a fairly experienced gamer, just got back to the States, and I like playing pretty much whatever. What time on Thurs nights were you thinking?

I have a few old books from 3.5 that are in pretty bad condition, but they are readable. I would just have to do some digging to get them. I also have access to every 3.5 book in PDF.

Again, not a big deal. I've got plenty of 3.5 books. I also have Pathfinder PDFs which are compatible enough a 3.5 player won't be too uncomfortable switching over. Though some of the broken prestiges make Pathfinder cry.
If anyone is also interested in GURPS, I can do their Dungeon Fantasy as well, where starting characters are approximately equal to 5th-to-8th level D&D, even if the System's HP are ridiculously low... it gives an Old-School sense of danger, y'know?
There's a copy of the light version of GURPS available at the store, since I printed it out and left it there...

Hi, I'm pretty interested in getting some more Pathfinder game time in. Thursday Nights could actually work for me. Anything else you'd like to know?

Well, Scheduling is going to be becoming alternate Thursdays, due to a L5R RPG conflict.
I've been in most every Thursday around 6 or so, if I'm not in the RPG Room, I'm over at the "Warmahordes" with the green Cygnar or Schlepping a Weird Al tote.
Important Note, my Pathfinder books are all PDFs as far as that goes...

Sadly, I only have the DM Guide in book, otherwise I have PDFs and the masterwork app on Android. Do you have other people who are interested in playing?

Hey, I'm interested as well. Just time restrained with studying for the bar is all. That being said, I'm open for any and everything, and will gladly just try to fit myself into whatever everyone decides, and be the role no one else has chose (though, I'll be the first to admit, I straddle the line between a thespian and a loonie play-style.)

Actually Snow this Thursday an L5R RPG group is meeting. They will be meeting every other week at the shop, but if a group wants to get together on the alternating Thursdays, they are open!

So, ljgoodhue and myself will be meeting this Thursday (tomorrow) at around 6pm at BGM to start talking about our campaign. We've currently got 3 players and a GM so I'm sure we could take on a couple more people.
WHOO!

Hey there. My brother and I just heard about Black Moon Games and the group that you're starting and we would love to join. We both have experience in Pathfinder and D&D 3.5 and we have the core books for both of them. We're very open as far as schedule goes also. If they're aren't too many people already, we'd be happy to get involved

Two more would be my limit, TBH.
Our sessions are on alternating Thursdays with an L5R game, starting play at 6 pm, going until Tony kicks us out. Next session is June 26.
The guys already in the party have chosen to "Iron Man" generate their characters. That is, they rolled stats old-school 3d6 per stat, in order, and received an extra magic item for their trouble. You could also choose to use "Standard" 4d6, drop lowest six times and arrange, "Heroic" 2d6+6 and arrange, or a Pregen. If you don't like the pregen, don't worry: opportunities to reroll, etc will abound.
Party is starting at level 3, and currently has a Dwarf cleric of Gorum, Halfling rogue, and a Tiefling wizard.

Ok. Not familiar with L5R. Are you using it as a setting for 3.5/Pathfinder or is it another game entirely?

Nah, there's a L5R group that meets the alternate Thursdays that the PFRPG doesn't. I'm trying to set things for Pathfinder, but there's an element of old-school due to a framing device in the first session.

Alright sounds good. We'll do standard stat rolls and get our characters made. I'm thinking about a fighter or maybe a paladin, depending on party alignments. My brother has no idea what he wants to make though. Anything else we should know about?

Hey Storm. Figured I'd let you know the party make up right now. Currently have a rogue, cleric and wizard kicking around, so your fighter will be a welcome addition (read as meatshield). Your brother can probably roll up anything he would like.

Lol. That's pretty much what I was thinking too. I like paladins too, but since I'm not sure of party alignments (other than the cleric), I'll just stick to fighter. I'll pass that info along to my brother too.

Also, how much starting money do we have and is there any other start up rules or other info that we should know?

Right. Starting at Level 3, so standard cash is starting roll from the books and... *riffles digital pages* 3000 gp.
Allowed: Core, Advanced Player's Guide and Race Guide, Ultimate Combat, Equipment, and Magic, Inner Sea World Guide. Middle-of-the road availability of firearms, if a Gunslinger is desired.
FWIW, if you're there for the Session on the 26th, your characters are "D20 Modern" NPC-classed before *events* happen. You still roll up the character you want to play.... he or she's just got a slightly ... different backstory.

Cleric here, I'm rocking a chaotic neutral alignment if that helps any.

Alright. Think that should be enough. We'll get our characters made and see you all on the 26th. I'll post up any other questions that we have.
