It's that time again! A new Magic: the Gathering set, Fate Reforged, is dropping on January 23rd! The weekend prior to release, you can participate in a sealed deck tournament using the new cards!
Date and Time: Saturday, Jan. 17th and 18th. Each day, the doors will open at 10:00AM and deckbuilding will begin at 11:00AM SHARP!
Format: Sealed Deck (Pre-release packs will be given to each player, they have at least 6 boosters in them plus a spindown die and some other fun stuff)
Entry: $25 per player (per tournament)
Prizes: Anyone with a winning record of at least 2-2-1 or 3-2 after 5 rounds of play will win some booster packs! The more you win, the more you get. ACD has also provided some cool custom playmats, and I will be giving out 15 of them each day to random participants!
Additionally, the following "stretch goals" will be unlocked if people pre-register. You can prepay any time between now and Friday, Jan. 16th. The numbers count for total players registered between the two days, so if you pre-reg for both days that's 2 towards the stretch goals!
20+: All participants get a custom Black Moon Games D6!
30+: All participants get a Fate Reforged booster pack just for playing in the tournament!
40+: I will add a set of POP! Miniature Planeswalker figures to the door prize pool!
60+: 5 Commander 2014 decks will be added to the door prizes for EACH day!
100: A full booster box (36 packs) of Khans of Tarkir will be added to the Top 8 prize pool for each day!
We are limited to 100 total players between the two days, so make sure to call, email or stop by today to secure your spot.
