Official sign up and discussion post for Warhammer 40k kill team Fall League. (Went to look for picture to use and stole this right from Josh's post, yup rude I know)
The start date will be 9/26 and it will end on 11/5. Six weeks.
You have from Monday till the end of Sunday each week to play your game for the week.
Ending it by the beginning of November frees everyone up for all those awesome busy holiday family activities in November.
I'm thinking of capping off the event aT the end with a kill team tournament as well. For fun, not to effect the outcome of the league .More to come on that.
In the interest of providing prize support there will be an entrance fee of $5 , all of which will be converted to a prize or store credit.
THE RULES
Force construction.
200 points . Restrictions in the kill team book. If you haven't bought a copy yet or are on the fence I'll give you the "get you by" version.
From 1 codex or supplement. At least 4 models
Up to 2 troops choices , 1 elite, and 1 fast attack.
Minimum squad size at least.
No armor value over 33 combining front, side , rear.
No models with more than 3 wounds or a 2+ save. No flyers .
Once you've selected your force , your highest leadership model is your leader. You then roll on the leader table in front of your opponent week 1 . That is your leader trait for the leagues duration. Report it to me along with your results week 1.
You then pick 3 specialists And give them skills you like provided on the tables in the book. I'm thinking of allowing new specialists during periods of the league but you can still only utilize 3 in your list at a time.
I'm open to the idea of letting people scrap their lists week to week and start over. We will discuss it and get a consensus. I realize it wouldn't be very fun to have taken some choices you regret and be stuck with it for 6 weeks. But at the very least you would need to stick with the same army book.
There are six missions in the rulebook and six weeks in the campaign. We will keep this very simple. Once we have a head count I will edit the names into this post . Tag or message folks to set up games or post when you will be down at the store .
Week 1 we will play the first mission and so on each week .
3 points for a win. 1 for a draw , and 0 for a loss. Your first game of the week is used for calculating your points for the week. You may play up to two additional games a week after the first , earning 1 point for each game. This way you're earning points and helping others get their games in. So you can max out at 5 points a week.
One restriction . If at all possible you should attempt to play your first game of the week with someone different at least every 2 weeks . This is an attempt to stop people from trying to play only with someone who is a new player , or perceived by them as a weaker player.
The games are short so getting multiple games in on an evening should be easy. Report your games via messenger on here , in post or emailing me. I will update standings weekly. My email gothamite2001@yahoo.com.
As was stated before there will be no set night for league play . Monday night is skirmish night , but feel free to set up games with anyone as long as store events permit.
I am very close to the store , so if you're having trouble message me . I will meet you and help you get your games in.
Preferably on days for me.
Painting will not be required in the interest of attracting new people to the game . Please be sure if not painting to show what models are your leader and specialists.
I plan on awarding for best kill team , best painted as well, which will be voted on by the players.
So let's get rolling on a head count, and please let me know what I've forgotten.

Ben Howard - Plague Specters (chaos marines)
Corey Loupis - tau
Joshua Rice- dark angels 3rd company
