Hello Everybody! We're starting up a X Wing Miniatures Beginner's League at Black Moon Games beginning in August! No experience necessary! Here's how it works:
You sign up for the League at the store counter.
Game demos will be available each Sunday in August with no purchase necessary.
Points will be escalated every 2 weeks to allow new players time to order and purchase ships to build their squadron (30 points for both Rebel or Empire can be built from a single starter set available at Black Moon Games).
Format/Rules:
Players may switch armies (fleets) completely from week to week during this Beginner's league.
Proxy pilot and upgrade cards will be allowed, correct ship models must be played.
week 1 - 30 points
week 2 - 30 points
week 3 - 50 points
week 4- 50 points
week 5 - 75 points
week 6- 75 points
week 7 - 100 points
week 8 - 100 points
The League ends at the end of September!
Scoring:
Play a game: 3 Points
Win a game: 2 Points
Teach someone not in the League how to play: 5 Points
Play against a new player (resets weekly): 1 Point
In case of ties in league points, ties will be broken by most wins. If wins are tied, we’ll decide at that time (maybe one last game if we have time!)
Prizes:
Fantasy Flight Star Wars X-wing prize support (medals, etc!) will be awarded at the end of the League based on number of games played and number of wins
Scrap paper will be made available to participants: just write down your names and your points scored for each game (and who won), put it in the box, and your points will be recorded!
