With the locking in of a date and time for Black Moon's first Call of Cthulhu LCG event, I figured it was a good time to talk about the game on the forum. Call of Cthulhu is a living card game in the style of Android: Netrunner: players design decks that pit investigators and creatures from Lovecraft's mythos against each other. Miskatonic University's finest minds might team up with detectives from the Blackwood Agency to investigate the cult of Shub-Niggurath, or either the university or the agency might find themselves working alongside creatures from the outer dark. For anyone curious about trying the game, the draft can be a low key, low investment to pick up some cards, build a deck and see how the game plays without worrying about who's packing what deck. I'm psyched for Black Moon's first Cthulhu LCG event. If anyone has any questions about the game, I'm happy to answer as best I can. earlofbronze is another great, local resource to find out more.

Excellent to see a draft on Feb. 8th! The draft will be casual and should be alot of fun. Like Tyler said it is a great way to learn the game in a casual atmosphere. And to get some cards....
I will also bring some decks this Wednesday if anyone is interested in learning the game before Sunday's draft. Again very casual and a I don't mind teaching anyone interested learning.
Hope to see some of you there....

For the first time in years, i've checked a few things on strategies that i used to do... Baby steps... It doesn't help that a friend gave me a core set he wasn't using... bad friend!!
I'd be interested in drafting the next time though

Gee, if I'd known all it took was putting cards in your hands, Vorpalgens, we'd've gotten you back a whole lot sooner.

I never left Arkham... I'm a permanent resident there, you all know this! The game is good but the lack of players is a whole other story
I had kept a core set for a while... But was recently given a second core set which was unexpected
The stuff i looked at were strategies & tactics way back then within the first 2 ayslum cycles... so a lot has happened since then and i do not wish to buy everything back as well. Still didn't read the FAQ which can bust my bubble as well remebering that the Alaskan dog can no longer have 8 copies in a deck Tyler told me
Also something that is very bothering is the lack of players around... I kinda keep myself sustained with Netrunner through internet but am not looking to do this always The draft looks casual & interesting...
We'll see i guess

Well when you come down south of the wall finally...there is starting to become a small community of CoC: LCG players. We can spread the word and try to get more! Hopefully we can get more drafts and more events. Rod

Again against my better judgment, i find myself studying the game way more than i expected... (started last night) I will play a few proxies here and there until i'm sure i want specific cards and avoid buying everything... I already see the necessity of a 3rd core set... OCD, kicked in... can't help it
