The BGC series of tournaments opens with Ticket to Ride next Saturday, Feb. 21st.
First Congratulations to Victor... he defended his 2013 crown with an impressive 2014 victory! Can anyone knock him off the top?
The scoring is standardized. All tournaments will be worth the same points. 1st Place – 7 points 2nd Place - 5 points 3rd Place – 4 points 4th Place – 3 points 5th & 6th Place – 2 points (only if more than 4 players at final table) All other participants will earn 1 BGC point.
There will be 6 tournaments this coming year. The overall winner will receive a $40 Black Moon Gift Certificate. We will be counting only your best 5 results in the final standings. Cannot make a tournament? Well don’t worry it will not count against you.
Cost of each tournament is only $5. Black Moon Gift certificates will be awarded for 1st place and one random participant. These will be based on attendance. Or special prizes provided by Tony!
So the first three tournaments are already planned.
Feb. 21st - Ticket to Ride
April 25th - PENNY PRESS! - (NOW Carcassonne)
June 6th - Carcassonne - (NOW Splendor)
Thanks to everyone that participated in the 2014 BGC. Whether it was for one tournament or all of them.... Looking forward to another fun, competitive year of Board Gaming at Black Moon!
Thanks Rod

And with Carcassonne moving up.... SPLENDOR will be the June tournament on the 6th!

"All other participants will earn 1 BGC point." Where's Neil's point in the overall standings? You are correct Neil was on my spread sheet, but did not get copied over. My apologies to Neil. He has been added!

The store has a copy and I am more than willing to teach Penny Press. Any Wednesday evening when I am there for the regular board game night. Just post here on the forums. Also some weekends I am in the store and again would have no problem teaching the game!! Rod
