Hey all! So I think we talked about getting a June League going. Do we want to settle on a format? I know some folks had some good ideas/suggestions/concepts/shenanigans in mind (scenarios, Armada, narrative campaigns, etc), so post them here! I have to admit I won't be around this coming Sunday (going to the Regionals matchup in MA) but perhaps we could have something start up the following Sunday? IMHO We should also advertise the League in the store and also make it accessible to newer players, get some fresh blood, so to speak. What do you think? Post your suggestions/thoughts below!

I've got two ideas, one (somewhat) complicated and one simple. I'd like to run a 4 week "Escape From Hoth" league with players running the campaign from the GR75. I know we can scare up at least 3 GR75s for use (the store has one, I have one and I'm going to volunteer Jon's as well :-)). The missions are very cool and the points limits aren't excessive (most of them are in the 100 range). I also really like the squad building that is in place. Basically the player escorting the transport has a single "roster" of 200 points to pull from for their individual games. Any unique pilots destroyed during the course of their battles are removed from the roster before the next game starts. They also have an upgrade pool to choose from for their pilots. (roster sheets can be found here: images-cdn.fantasyflightgames.com/filer_public/a0/e0/a0e0264c-04f5-4928-836d-60f2ff61e775/evacuation_of_hoth_roster_sheets.pdf)The player attacking the transports, on the other hand, makes up three lists (one for each game). Their one restriction is that they cannot use the same unique pilot in more than one game. The results of winning or losing a match are that if the attacker wins, the escorting player either loses a ship from their roster (of the attacking player's choice), or loses 2 upgrades (again, attacking players choice) from their roster, or a damage card assigned to the GR75 can be flipped up and remain in play for the next mission (very cool). If the escorting player wins, he gets to select a free upgrade to apply to one of his unique pilots and can look at the next list of the attacking player (before making his list). The campaign is designed for two players, but we could easily rotate opponents so that people have opportunities to meet new people. Even though these missions are Rebel V Imperial in the book, I think Scum could sub in for either side if people wanted to run them. After all, rebel-aligned smugglers would help escort transports away and imperial-aligned bounty hunters (or just pirates) would attack them. The fourth week could be a modified version of the standalone mission from the transport pack, where the surviving GR75s rendevous with each other and their surviving escorts before being attacked by a horde of pirates/imperials. In this scenario there would be no clear winner, though we could set rewards for "most ships destroyed", "best GR75 Escort" or "best Imperial/Pirate". My other idea is a simple round-robin league where everyone plays everyone else and schedule games with one another. The player with the best record at the end of this wins the league.

I like the Escape from Hoth league idea! When do we start? And who wants to manage/keep track of everything? Is there a way to incorporate more players per game, in addition to having rotating opponents?

Let's start it up! I can't make it to regionals in MA this Saturday, probably will head to the one in PA later this season, but that means I'm free this Sunday if folks want to meet up and try it out!

That would be cool. However, keep in mind that X-Wing Hunger games will be happening at 2PM on Sunday. Maybe wait until the following weekend?

ahh true true true. We'll I'll definitely be playing in that (despite never having read the Hunger Games! I know I know). But perhaps we can discuss the June League this Sunday, hash out some details, etc and start it up next weekend.
ALso FYI I brought Honor to the Black Moon dojo and took first at the Quarterstaff X-wing tournament. good times good times.
