Howdy and salutations and other such redundancies!
Anyone around play Jyhad(VtES), Rage, Battletech, Spoils, Hecatomb, WoW, Anachronism, or any other dead/offbeat card games? I've always had a quirky connection to these games and would love to hear if anyone else shares a likeness. I've got stacks!
Cheers and keep playing!

I've played Rage (both versions) and Battletech, although only really in passing. I've played most AEG-produced card games, like Spycraft, 7th Sea, Warlord, even City of Heroes and Initial D. I was heavily into UFS (technically not dead, but produced on a much lower volume now) and WWF/WWE Raw Deal. Going back close to twenty years, my introduction into CCGs was through comics, so Overpower and Wildstorm were the first I really got into. The Decipher Star Trek and Star Wars games introduced me to trading and secondary market value Mark

Mark, no mention of L5R...did you get out of it?

Oh yes, I played L5R, UFS, Vs system, LoTR ( rather I should say Middle Earth), Decypher Star Wars a bit, even crazy experiments like Clout! So many games... Its really a shelfspace problem. ;-)

Nope, I'm still heavily into L5R. I just didn't consider it either an offbeat or dead game Mark

In fact, between the amazing new starter decks (seriously, look them up...they're incredible) and the switch to draft-friendly boosters, the game is ripe to be picked up and supported by games stores...HINT HINT Mark

Oh I plan to stock the new Ivory Edition, though it is currently awaiting a restock from the distributor. Hopefully in a couple weeks when I'm ready to open it should be available. A new arc is exciting, and I'd love to see the game take off again locally. I hope to see you, Shelby, the Wagners and anybody else down there for L5R!

I will definitely drive down from Burlington to visit! Do you think you will be getting in the DND NEXT books when they print?

Yep, we'd definitely be interested, and I hope the restock comes soon, as both sealed and draft play are a lot of fun and a good way to build card pools for newer players. If I can help at all, let me know. And it's worth dropping customerservice@alderac.com an email letting them know you're a new store looking to stock L5R - ask them for some demo decks, prize support and POS...they can only say no Mark

I still have decks for 7th Sea and Doomtown, but I haven't had a chance to play either of them in quite awhile. I also used to play Warlord and might have cards for it still lying around somewhere. I recently returned to L5R after about a 10-year absence, and my wife plays it now as well.

Doomtown relaunches at GenCon this year, Kevin! In (Living) Expandable Card Game form, no less.
Looking forward to hopefully meeting up with you guys again at some point in the near future.

I have stacks of 7th Sea cards. Some Warlord. And we used to play Doomtown in college.
